Guest Bartender Sundays: 20 Years of Community, One Pour at a Time

Some anniversaries are best celebrated with the people who helped build them. That's the thinking behind Guest Bartender Sundays, our summer-long series happening right here in the Tasting Room at Philadelphia Distilling — the home of Bluecoat Gin.

Every other Sunday this summer, we're handing the bar over to the bartenders, bars, and restaurants who've spent years reaching for Bluecoat, building cocktails around it, and helping tell our story to the people who walk through their doors. Twenty years in, that's what community actually looks like: not just a milestone we mark alone, but one we share with the people who've been pouring alongside us the whole time.

Why Guest Bartenders?

Bluecoat's story has never been just about what happens inside the distillery. It's about the bars that put it on their menus before it was an easy sell, the bartenders who built signature drinks around it, and the restaurants that made it part of their regulars' routines. Guest Bartender Sundays is a chance to bring that story full circle — inviting the people who've shaped Bluecoat's reputation in their own rooms to shape it in ours for a night.

Each guest brings their own approach behind the bar, so no two Sundays will pour the same. It's the same gin, but a different point of view every time.

Part of the Bigger Celebration

Guest Bartender Sundays runs alongside the broader #Bluecoat20 Spirit Journey — the multi-city celebration of Bluecoat's 20th anniversary taking place across partner bars this summer. Where the Spirit Journey takes Bluecoat's story out to cities like Philadelphia, New York, and St. Louis, Guest Bartender Sundays brings it back home, letting the people who've helped build that story pour it themselves, in the space where it all started.
